Renewing Athlete Registration with England Athletics
Dear Catherine,
We would like to remind Clubs that we are fast approaching the 30th June deadline for athletes to renew their registration with England Athletics.
Membership Secretaries are therefore encouraged to login to their Secretary’s Portal (insert link) and check the current payment status for athletes at their club, and ensure that any athletes who wish to be registered for the 2017-18 year are showing as Paid. Please note, athletes who are showing as Payment Sent are not registered until this payment has been received by England Athletics. The Order History tab of the portal will highlight any pending orders raised by your club that still require payment, so please make sure you visit this section of the portal prior to the deadline.
On the 1st July, athletes whose £14 Registration fees are still Outstanding will show as Not-Registered during the competition licence checks conducted by competition organisers in conjunction with England Athletics. As detailed in UK Athletics Rules for Competition (Rule 21 S1(i)) athletes that fall under the Not-Registered category are liable to disqualification (although they can still compete in road and trail events as unattached athletes) and are no longer entitled to claim the registered athlete discount on entries into road races.
The above steps will help ensure all competing athletes at your club will not experience any issues when entering competitions, and can therefore continue to enjoy taking part in our great sport.
