There will be a Fell v Road event on Thursday June 27th starting from the Nunthorpe Recreation Club at 6.30pm. The road race will cover the Newby Loop which is the same as the Treasure Hunt race course. The distance is 7.5 miles approx. The fell race is now going to be a course up to the Eston Nab and then back to the club, a distance of 6 miles, approx. After the event we have arranged another excellent buffet at the club. The club committee have agreed to subsidise the event once again (thanks to our friendly sponsor) so the cost of the buffet will only be £2.50 instead of £4. This could be an excellent competitive event. Choose whether you would like to run the road race or the fell race on the day and find out after it is all over which partner, (who has done the opposite event), you have been drawn with. Then add together both times to find the winning teams (3). The map of the Fell Race route will be available well before the event. Doug Welsh will be taking names and buffet money in the next few weeks.
