Sundays results

What a busy day of results yesterday

First up Manchester

9 members took part in what is described as the UKs fastest marathon. It didn’t disappoint as Veterans Paul Mcgough and Jonathan Skidmore both set pbs with today the first time Paul had ran sub 3. Darren Carroll was running his first ever marathon and will be very pleased to go sub 3 on the first time of asking. It was also first time efforts for Dave Robinson and Peter Keen who had done a lot of training together and both ran well today. Hope you all enjoy putting you feet up and enjoy the rest.

When in Rome

Martin Luxton competed in Rome and ran a 3:53:26. Well done Martin

Sheffield half marathon

Chris Walker competed as the sole representative and finished in 1:32:12 (Sorry Chris I couldn’t see any photos of you)

Big well done to those who ran yesterday, some very good runs. The most pleasing results for me yesterday were the marathon times. For the last 16 weeks the time and effort has gone into you getting the results you all fully deserve.
A big part of this is down to the plans put in place by Paul McGough, and the planning of training runs in which we had about 2/3 groups turning out every Sunday for the all important long runs.
