The benefits of training

I've been away for a week's 'high altitude' training in the Cairngorms so missed last week's report. However, this week is notable for 3 pbs and a fast time, all showing what happens with training. Laurence Taylor ducked under 19 minutes for the first time at Albert Park while Tony Holland finished in third place at Stewart Park in a very competitive 18minutes 29 seconds. It's taken some 3 years but, also at Stewart Park, Dave Robinson took 33 seconds off his pb. Finally, Phil Jarvis travelled to Darlington and took less then 18 minutes to get round their course.
After a busy, but unreported, week for tourists last Saturday, only David Allison left the North East, making it down to Chichester.
