RIP Paul Christon

Hi,
It’s with deep sadness that I share the news that our club member, fellow runner and most of all good friend Paul Christon lost his battle with cancer yesterday.
If you didn’t know Paul he was just one the nicest people you could ever meet without a bad word to say about anyone. He was kind, thoughtful and incredibly humble.
Within sport he was a very good runner, a great cyclist and combining the two he was very good at duathlon too. He even tried his hand at triathlon but he’d be the first to admit with his wooden legs chiselled from climbing hills he wasn’t the best of swimmers.
Paul’s favourite running discipline was always fell running and it was with this that Paul started the Monday night fell runs we still run to this day.
He introduced new and old members to the discipline he loved and also to new routes and tracks along the way.
He will be truly missed, our thoughts go out to his wife Shelly and family x.
RIP Paul Christon.
