NYMAC in “Real Virtual” Blaydon Race 2020

Blaydon Harriers replaced their famous “always on 9th of Joon” Blaydon Race with an “official” virtual race this year, where you paid a small fee to enter ( or more it you wanted a t-shirt), then ran your own 6 miles, anywhere,  on 9th June, and submitted your results.  Unfortunately you had to provide your own bottle of beer, and ham & peas pudding sandwich when you got home!

Well done our 6 NYMAC runners in the race.

Our top three:

  • Alasdair Tatham, first NYMAC home, 12th in overall race and 6th in his age category.
  • Phil Jarvis was 2nd NYMAC, 33rd in overall race and 14th in his age category.
  • 3rd NYMAC runner was Douglas Howarth, and 12th in his age category.

We had one lady, Kerry Jarvis, who ran a 6 mile PB.
