Help Needed – Gisborough Moors Fell Race

Help Needed!

There's been a local fell running series on the North York Moors running for many years. We are very lucky to have this as most areas don't have such an abundance of fell races on their doorstep.

Esk Valley Fell club pull the series together but over the last year it has started to become more of a joint effort between local clubs and it would be great if we could play our part.

So I've been having some conversations with Clive Thornton from Esk Valley and i have offered to help out with the Gisborough Moors Race on Sunday 17th April. What i have suggested is that we sort out the water station at Gribdale cark park, roughly the half way point on the 12.4 mile course. I will be there but it would be great if we could have a small team to hand out drinks to weary runners, some of which will be our own!

If you are willing to help out please let me know, it will only be for a couple of hours from 10.30. If you would prefer to marshal some place elsewhere on the route i could arrange that too, options would be on Roseberry Topping, High Cliff, Captain Cooks or Percy Rigg.

Either contact Paul Christon via Facebook, someone at the club or email him on pwchriston (at) googlemail.com, or find him out on his bike somewhere.

Thanks

Paul C
