The 17/18 cross country championship points system has changed slightly from the 16/17 season.

I award 15 points to the 1st nymac finish, 14 points to the 2nd nymac finisher, 13 points to the 3rd nymac finisher and so on down to 1 point which all remaining nymac members will get.

On top of that I also award 10 points to the 1st nymac finisher in their age group, 9 points to the 2nd nymac finisher in their age group, 8 points to the 3rd nymac finisher and so on down to 1 point which all remaining nymac members will get.

Age groups are: U20, SEN, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 & V70 as per the NYSD xc age group system.

For the NE, northern and national championships there isn’t an age category so points are increased from 15 to 20 and go down to 1 point.

The male and female with the highest points at the end of the cross country season will be the winners and the person with the highest point overall will be crowned nymac cross country champion.

The final standings

In the ladies champs the winner is Anne Robson with 102 points. Anne also secured 2nd place in the NYSD V60 age category. Anne wins a trophy for nymac cross country champion 1st female.
