NYMAC Spring Relays May 25th 2023
Well done everyone,
We had an excellent evening of running in the park with a near maximum turnout. We had 12 teams from New Marske Harriers and 9 from Redcar and a good representation of local clubs. Richmond and Zetland Harriers were 1st and 2nd placed teams with 18:31 and 18:38 closely followed by Middlesbrough AC Mandale with 18:46. Richmond’s Marc Scott ran the fastest leg in 4:24, he is the current course record holder with 4:14 from Aug 2018. Fastest lady was Middlesbrough AC Mandale’s Caroline Lambert in 5:17.
In the ladies teams, Darlington ladies won in 22:10, ahead of Allerton Juniors in second place and Stockton Striders in third place.
We beat our own M200 course record of 21:06 previously held by Paul Lowe, Brian Roberts, Roger Godley, Kev McLoughlin from Aug 2014 with the team of Paul McLean, David Watkins, Alasdair Tatham and Andrew Ackerley in 20:51.
Richmond and Zetland Harriers were a close second place and also inside the previous M200 course record.
The Mixed result was very close with Crook & District AC beating second place Aycliffe Running Club by just a second.
